The Great Outdoors

Flatonia, Texas
This historic little town has 4 pre-civil war or antebellum homes amd one of the largest oak trees in Texas, It is a place where east/west railroads cross north/south railroads. It has fields of beautiful bluebonnets, the Texas state flower. With its friendly people, it is a good place to go to learn some of the history of the area. It has a general store that has been closed since the death of its owners. It has remained as they left it in the twenties with the dry goods on display the same as when it was open. Here are a few pictures, they can be enlarged by clicking on them.
